The form below reaches the person who edits Beijing Tourism Guide. Every message is read. Messages that need a reply usually get one within a few working days; corrections are often fixed faster than they are answered.
Reporting something that is wrong or out of date
This is the most valuable thing you can send us, and the thing we most want to hear about. Beijing’s practical details move constantly — entry rules, ticketing systems, opening hours, which payment apps accept a foreign card, whether a subway station exit is still open during construction. A guide that was accurate in spring can be wrong by autumn.
If you have just been and found something that did not match what you read here, choose “A correction to a guide” and paste the URL of the page. Telling us roughly when you were there helps a lot, because it lets us work out whether something changed or whether we simply got it wrong. You do not need to prove anything or provide a source — a note saying “the Mutianyu shuttle was not running in October” is enough for us to go and check.
Questions about visiting Beijing
We are happy to point you at the right guide, and if enough people ask the same thing it usually becomes a guide of its own. Two honest limits, though. We cannot tell you whether you personally qualify for a visa or a visa-free transit scheme — that depends on your nationality, your passport, your onward ticket and your port of entry, and the only answer that counts comes from the Chinese embassy or consulate responsible for you. And we cannot book anything on your behalf: no hotels, no tickets, no tours, no rail seats. We do not sell travel and have no booking relationship with anyone.
Press, media and image use
Choose “Press or media” for interview requests, quotation and citation questions, or permission to reproduce material from the site. If you want to reuse an image, say which page it is on — the images here come from a mix of sources with different licences, and we need to check which one applies before we can answer.
Advertising and partnerships
Advertising enquiries are welcome and go through the same form. To save both of us time: we do not accept paid guest posts, sponsored articles, paid link insertions into existing guides, or any arrangement that puts a business into a recommendation in exchange for money. Those requests are declined without exception, and the fastest way to get no reply at all is to send one anyway.
